How will I benefit from registration?
With your one-time registration as an applicant, you can apply for various vacancies later just by filling in a letter of application. You can complete your information if you wish, save any searches conducted, and cancel applications you have made. The system facilitates easy browsing of vacancies and the selection of those suitable for you. Registered applicants can also monitor the progress of the job application process through the system.
Why should I release my profile after registration?
If you would like us to be able to offer you a job that matches your qualifications, we recommend that you release your profile. The information in a released profile can be found in searches performed by recruiters wishing to fill vacancies. If you are not an active job applicant or you would prefer to decide which positions to apply for yourself, you should lock your profile to make your information unavailable to our recruiters.
I would like to work for Itella but did not find any interesting positions. Can you contact me if a suitable vacancy becomes available?
If you register for Itella’s applicant reserve, we will be able to contact you when a suitable vacancy becomes available. Unfortunately, we cannot offer a ‘career watch’ service to ensure that you are contacted each time a suitable vacancy becomes available. Your own proactive approach is the key here! Your CV data will remain in the system, but you must submit an application for any vacancies of interest by completing an application letter.
How will I know that my application has been received?
We will send confirmation to your e-mail address once your application has arrived.
I have registered as a user, but I have forgotten my password and/or user ID…
If you have forgotten your username, click the link ‘Password forgotten’ in the login window. Enter your e mail address in the field provided, and we will send you a new password by e-mail.
How long will it take me to register and/or fill in an application?
Registration is quick (it will take only about 10 minutes) if you ensure in advance that you have the information required for the CV. The more information you provide on yourself, the more certain you can be that the vacancy offered will meet your expectations. Therefore, you should allow sufficient time to enter the information. Filling in the application will take approximately 15 minutes.
Can I save a partly completed application and finish it later?
Yes, you can. If you have registered as an applicant, the information you enter will be saved in the system. The next time you log in, you can continue filling in the application. The information in your application will not be forwarded until you click the ‘Submit’ button.
Who will have access to my personal information in the system?
Your information will be handled by Recruitment Services and, if you have filed an application for a certain vacancy, the supervisor responsible for selecting a new employee.
How can I get an e-mail address?
Many service providers offer e-mail addresses free of charge; for example, you can type the search phrase ‘free e mail address’ into www.google.fi and select the one most suitable for you from among the options the service provides.
I am trying to log in to the system but keep receiving error messages. What should I do?
Ensure that you meet the minimum system requirements: to use the system, you need the Internet Explorer 6.0 or Mozilla Firefox 1.0 browser (or a later version), but it usually also works with Internet Explorer 5.50, Netscape 7 or later versions, and Apple Safari. In addition, you will need the Adobe Acrobat Reader software. Please ensure that your browser settings allow cookies. When using the system, remember to have only one browser window open at a time. If necessary, contact the Itella Call Centre at +358 (0) 200 71000 (local call charge / mobile charge), Mon.–Fri. 8am–8pm and Sat. 9am–2pm).
Can I apply for vacancies by sending a letter?
Applications for Itella Information vacancies should be filed in accordance with the instructions in the job advert. Other vacancies at Itella are applied for through the system in the first instance, to speed up the recruitment process and make it easier to receive intermediate information. The job advert will mention it if you should apply in another manner than through the system. If you need assistance with the application procedure, contact the Itella Call Centre at +358 (0) 200 71000 (local call charge / mobile charge), on Mon.–Fri. 8am–8pm and Sat. 9am–2pm).
Why can’t I log in to the system?
If you have already registered as a user, please check that you are trying to log in and not register as a user again. Ensure the correctness of your username and password by requesting a new password to be sent by e-mail. In order to avoid typing errors, you can copy your username and password directly from the e-mail message into the login window.
