What is NetPosti?
NetPosti is a free-of-charge electronic internet-based transaction service for everyone in Finland aged 15 or over, provided by Posti. In NetPosti, you can receive different types of letters from parties registered with the service, exactly as in a conventional letterbox.
In practice, NetPosti is an alternative for letterboxes and file archives. A letter previously delivered on paper to a letterbox can now be received in electronic format in NetPosti. An electronic letter in NetPosti looks exactly the same as the corresponding letter on paper. A message informing you of incoming messages in NetPosti can be sent to you by e-mail.
How long will letters be archived in NetPosti?
You can organise and archive letters that have arrived in NetPosti safely for a period of six years. For instance, if a customer changes bank, letters that have arrived in NetPosti will be stored in the NetPosti archive and can be retrieved easily.
