Itella is Finland’s second largest private-sector employer, offering jobs throughout the country. Besides Finland, we employ people in Denmark, Estonia, Germany, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Poland, Russia and Sweden. At the end of 2007, the Group had a staff of around 25,200, of whom 8%, or some 1,900, work outside Finland. Physical work is performed by nearly 20,000 people. |

The spectrum of work ranges from delivery and production work to customer service, product and service development, specialist work in information technology and other special fields, and executive duties. In the 2000s, Itella’s rating in the annual employee satisfaction survey has varied between 3.42 and 3.53 (on a scale of 1 to 5). In 2007, the aggregate average was 3.45. |

Diversity reflected in the workplace
Itella employees represent more than 40 nationalities. The ethical foundation of multiculturalism activities at Itella is the equality of employees, a value recorded in our Code of Ethics.
All Itella employees are equal, irrespective of their gender, age, origins, cultural background, beliefs, education, work experience or area of expertise. Tolerance and multiculturalism are advanced via development in, among other things, supervisory work, recruitment and induction.
Every year, thousands of young people get their first summer job at Itella. In 2007, we employed some 6,000 seasonal workers in the summer and over the Christmas holidays.
