Itella reinforces operations in Russia by acquiring NLC (National Logistic Company), which is called OOO Itella-NLC.

Operations began in the St. Petersburg Logistics Centre.

Logistics acquired Kauko Group and its subsidiary Hansar Logistics AB.

Itella Logistics the first to test an automated parcel terminal in Finland and Estonia.

North Euroway Oy and Logia Moda Oy merged with Logia Oy. DHL (formerly, Danzas), owned by the German Post, bought Finland Post’s share of Kelpo Kuljetus Fi Oy.

Finland Post acquired AW-Store Oy, the Danish Combifragt Group A/S and John Nurminen Oy’s fashion logistics business, Logia Moda Oy.

The Logistics business group expanded into Denmark, Latvia and Lithuania. In Finland, Posti Logistics leads the market in parcel-transport and warehousing services.

Finland Post tested the applicability of RFID technology for its transport processes.
