Itella reinforces operations in Russia by acquiring NLC (National Logistic Company), which is called OOO Itella-NLC. Operations began in the St. Petersburg Logistics Centre. Logistics acquired Kauko Group and its subsidiary Hansar Logistics AB. Itella Logistics the first to test an automated parcel terminal in Finland and Estonia. |

The acquisition of SHW-Logistiikka Oy made Itella Logistics the leading furniture logistics service provider in Finland. Itella acquired the Swedish logistics company PS Logistics AB. The deal reinforced Itella Logistics’ position in Sweden. Operations began in the Moscow Logistics Centre. EMS-Cooperative, subordinate to the Universal Postal Union UPU, granted Finland Post a gold level award for the quality standards of EMS express services (Express Mail Services) in Finland. EDI Management Finland Ltd changed its name to Oy Confidea Business Consulting Ltd, and the subsidiary Logia Oy changed its name to Itella Logistics Oy. Finland Post Corporation changed its name to Itella Corporation. |

Posti acquired Roadlink Spedition AB, based in Sweden, and Universal Spedisjon AS, based in Norway. Accordingly, the logistics business group expanded into Sweden and Norway. North Euroway Oy and Logia Moda Oy merged with Logia Oy. DHL (formerly, Danzas), owned by the German Post, bought Finland Post’s share of Kelpo Kuljetus Fi Oy. |

Finland Post acquired AW-Store Oy, the Danish Combifragt Group A/S and John Nurminen Oy’s fashion logistics business, Logia Moda Oy. The Logistics business group expanded into Denmark, Latvia and Lithuania. In Finland, Posti Logistics leads the market in parcel-transport and warehousing services. Finland Post tested the applicability of RFID technology for its transport processes. Operations began at the Kotka Mussalo logistics centre. |

Jakeluykkönen was merged with Finland Post. Finland Post Corporation increased its holding in Poske Logistiikka Oy, a joint venture established by Finland Post and Rautakesko Oy, to 100 per cent. Poske Logistiikka Oy and LP-Logistiikkapalvelut Oy were merged with Logia Oy. Finland Post gained full ownership of North Euroway Oy. |

Logistics business group made fully responsible for domestic parcel services. Finland Post acquired the entire capital stock of Logia Oy. Finland Post acquired the majority of shares in the logistics operator North Euroway Oy and EDI Management Finland Ltd. |

The Logistics business group was established. Finland Post and Libri-Logistiikka Oy established a joint venture, Logia Oy, of which Finland Post owned 50 per cent. Poske-Logistiikka Oy, a joint venture of Finland Post and Rautakesko, launched operations and Finland Post established LP-Logistika OÜ, its subsidiary in Estonia. |

Danzas, owned by German Post, acquired a majority share in Kelpo Kuljetus Fi Oy. Finland Post acquired the service warehouse business of Done Logistics Oy and the entire capital stock of LP-Logistiikkapalvelut Oy. |
| In the 1990s |
Trunk and regional transports in Finland were incorporated into the subsidiary Kelpo Kuljetus Fi Oy. The Vantaa Logistics Centre was inaugurated. Finland Post established LP-Logistiikkapalvelut Oy and Global Mail FP Oy. Finland Post started to construct logistics services to meet the needs of corporate customers in particular. |
