Itella Mail Communication announces its first international acquisition on a Connexions in Russia, specialising in customer relationship marketing (CRM). Itella becomes the market leader in warehousing services in Russia through the acquisition of NLC (National Logistic Company). It adopts the name ItellaNLC. Itella Information expands to Poland. |

On 1 June, the Group's name changes to Itella Corporation. The Posti name remains in use for consumers in Finland. Itella is the market leader in information logistics in Northern Europe and a furniture logistics service provider in Finland. |

Finland Post is presented with the first ever international Workplace Award for promoting fitness activities in the workplace and encouraging employees to exercise. Finland Post establishes Foundation for well-being at work. The Group is the Baltic market leader in information logistics. Itella brand is first adopted by information logistics companies. Logistics services are expanded to Sweden and Norway. |

Finland Post establishes Finland's largest personnel fund in terms of the number of employees. The Group expands its logistics operations to Denmark, Latvia and Lithuania. Itella is the Swedish market leader in information logistics and the leading service provider in furniture logistics in Finland. |

Finland Post becomes the leading provider of e-invoicing and other e-services in the Nordic countries, as well as the leading provider of electronic document management and printing services in the Baltics. Finland Post is the Finnish market leader in digitising services. The Customised Stamp developed by Finland Post comes in second at the World Mail Awards 2004. |

Finland Post becomes a public company (Finland Post Corporation). The Group expands its information logistics operations to Sweden, Norway and Denmark. Finland Post becomes the leading provider of electronic document management and printing services for businesses. |
| 1998 | Suomen PT Group was demerged. Finland Post Corporation and Sonera Oy became state-owned enterprises. |
| 1994 | Post and Telecommunications became Suomen PT Oy, with the subsidiaries Finland Post Corporation, engaged in postal services, and Telecom Finland Oy (later Sonera Oy), engaged in telecommunications. |
| 1990 | Posti-Tele became a state-owned enterprise no longer dependent on the state budget. |
| 1981 | Post and Telegraph was renamed Post and Telecommunications. |
