In addition to company values, Itella’s operations are guided by a Code of Ethics introduced in 2006. They deal with business principles, non-discrimination and equality, health and safety, ethical business practices and environmental responsibility. Itella has a policy of paying the same salary to men and women performing the same work. |
| Linguistic special requirements are taken into account in the induction and supervision of employees with a foreign background. | |
Ethical operations are everyone’s business
The Code of Ethics applies to every Itella employee, and staff are informed of the code through training, supervisors, performance reviews and communications. We maintain a system which enables the reporting of activities that may be in breach of this Code of Ethics, and we also respond to such reports.
The Code of Ethics also takes into account Itella’s international activities. The Group undertakes to comply with legal procedures in all countries and show respect for different cultural norms.
The Code of Ethics provides guidelines for stakeholder co-operation. Our partners are also required to comply with ethically sustainable principles.
