Itella in Brief
Itella is a service business whose core competency lies in information and product flow management. It is a trusted partner assisting organizations in selling and marketing, delivery, and invoicing activities. In Finland, Itella's key mission is to provide daily mail services for all throughout the country.
Itella operates in Northern and Central Europe, and in Russia. International activities account for nearly a third of our net sales. Itella's key customer industries include the retail and wholesale trades, media, the finance, and telecommunications industries, and the public sector.
Net sales amounted to EUR 1,898 million in 2009. We provide work for around 30,000 professionals. The corporation is wholly owned by the Finnish State.
Itella Group comprises three business groups:
- Itella Mail Communication offers delivery services and customer relationship marketing solutions which enable organisations to effectively reach their customers.
- Itella Information offers outsourcing solutions for invoicing, financial management and digitalization.
- Itella Logistics offers solutions for land, sea and airfreight, parcel deliveries, and warehousing and other contract logistics.
Itella Group Strategy 2010–2014

- Itella's mission is to ensure the delivery of important items sent by our customers, and to operate responsibly towards the environment, society and our employees.
- The main market areas are Northern and Central Europe, and Russia. On a Group-level, market leadership is strived for in Northern Europe, first and foremost.
- The multi-channel information logistics services are provided both by Itella Mail Communication and Itella Information. By information logistics we refer to the management of information flows, whether the information is on paper or in digital form.
- Itella Logistics offer service logistics, related to product flow management i.e. freight & forwarding, warehousing and delivery services.
- We keep our promises and focus on renewal - working in co-operation and providing benefit to our customers.
